In the new year, Truck Country and Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer are taking a digital approach to connect with its customers, prospective teammates, as well as those in the general transportation industry.
Keep your ears open for “Truck Country: More Than Just Trucks,” a new podcast relating to all things in the trucking/transportation industry.
The brainchild of Ray Clark, the director of Training and Development for Truck Country and Stoops Freightliner, the podcast bills itself as being for “gearheads, trucks, or anyone who wants to learn about the trucking industry.”
Clark, who serves as the host for “More Than Just Trucks,” sees the podcast as an avenue to connect with all areas of the industry as a way to create interest and educate the public about the trucking industry.
“Come along with me as we dive deeper into what makes this $700 billion industry an essential part of all of our lives,” Clark said. “Here, we will interview seasoned technicians, industry leaders and more as we aim to educate the population on all things trucks.”
In addition to servingas an educational piece, Clark hopes the podcast will serve as a recruitment tool to attract more students and jobseekers to careers in the evolving world of trucking. He plans to do so by providing up-to-date information about the industry, while working to dismiss misnomers and outdated stereotypes about life working in the trucking and transportation fields.
