Summary: The Corporate Facilities Manager provides strategic leadership for the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of 15 corporate facilities. This position develops and executes preventive maintenance programs, manages facility budgets and vendor relationships, identifies cost-savings opportunities, and ensures safe, reliable, compliant building operations. The role also plans and oversees small to mid-size renovations and construction projects in partnership with corporate stakeholders to support the organization’s operational and long-term business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience establishing equipment replacement guidelines and protocols
  • Knowledge and experience with MaintainX software or similar programs
  • Previous management experience
  • Auditing and inspecting buildings, sites and equipment for appearance, repairs, and maintenance work
  • Capital project and improvement experience
  • Understanding how AI plays or will play a role in facilities maintenance
  • Evaluating current facilities to assess short-term and long-term space needs and conducting feasibility studies
  • Managing diverse teams of facilities staff including maintenance, grounds, and custodial workers
  • Able to develop designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements
  • Directing the development of cost estimates of labor, materials, and services used for planning, budgeting, and contracting
  • Responsible for permits and preventive maintenance of equipment
  • Determining long-term future operations and maintenance activities and ensure costs are appropriately included in the budget process
  • Coordinating work assignments among building technicians, vendors, and contractors
  • Understanding and working with real estate processes: Purchase Agreements, Zoning, CUPS, ALTA, geotechnical, and environmental surveys, easements, ROW, permitting, and building codes
  • Able to supervise other employees as needed
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all projects
  • Providing input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
  • Able to plan budgets, capital expenses and projects
  • Able to travel frequently, typically under 2 hours with limited overnight stays
  • Other duties as required and assigned
  • Maintaining regular onsite attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications and qualifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or CFP (Certified Facilities Professional)
    • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, commercial construction, construction project management, or a related field.
  • Reliable, motivated, and committed to delivering quality work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word & Outlook) and facility/project management systems/programs.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, customer service-oriented personality and attitude
