Summary: The Accounting Office Clerk plays a vital role in providing support to the accounting department of Stoops Freightliner – Western Star. They collaborate with personnel across various locations in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Key responsibilities include tracking equipment titles, coordinating with sales personnel, reviewing purchase documents, processing invoices, reconciling statements, and assisting with various accounting functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for tracking all incoming/outgoing equipment titles and records them on Titles Database
  • Works closely with salesmen/managers to acquire trade titles and new Certificates of orgin.
  • Review completeness of all vehicle purchases documents
  • Contact financial institutions to acquire titles after payoff or purchases have been made
  • Post Trailer equipment sales in Accounting system
  • Process all invoices that do not require PO’s, such as warranties, concessions, etc
  • Assist with Floor Plan audits
  • Other duties as required and assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some accounting knowledge/experience preferred.
  • Reliable, motivated, and committed to delivering quality work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word & Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail.
