Summary: This position is responsible for performing body work and general repairs on class 6, 7, and 8 trucks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Communicate effectively with customers to determine needs and advise of work to be done
· Perform necessary repairs and adjustments using tools and other necessary equipment
· Complete repair orders, fuel tickets, timecards, expense reports, and other documentation as required
· Purchase all parts and supplies through Truck Country/Stoops when at all possible
· Drive vehicles within company property and on public roads as required
· All other duties as assigned
Education, Skills and Knowledge Required:
· High school diploma, GED or related work experience
· Basic tool set
· Power and hand tool experience required
· Experience in repair and maintenance of semi-trailers preferred, but not required
· Candidates with skilled trade experience from related fields are also encouraged to apply
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
