We’re looking for a driven Internal Auditor to support compliance and operational excellence across 28 dealership locations throughout the Midwest.
This is a highly visible role working closely with executive leadership to ensure best practices in our Sales, Parts, and Service Departments.
What You’ll Do
- Travel to dealership locations across Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio
- Conduct structured departmental audits (Sales, Parts, Service) — each performed twice per year
- Complete detailed audit report cards and review findings with the VP of Audit
- Verify compliance with internal processes and company standards
- Administer the company expense reporting program and approve expense reports
- Provide clear, professional communication of audit findings and recommendations
Travel Expectations
- Travel required to 28 dealership locations
- Willingness to travel 3 weeks per month during 6 months of the year
- Approximately 30–40 overnight stays annually
- Company vehicle provided
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree OR 2–4 years of related experience (or equivalent combination)
- Clean driving record
- Procede business software (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to interpret financial and legal documents
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and solve practical problems
Work Environment & Requirements
- Frequent sitting for extended periods
- Ability to drive long distances
- Occasional exposure to shop environments (moderate noise, fumes/airborne particles)
- Reliable attendance and professionalism required
